We were there for 2 days, everything was great, thoroughly enjoyed its great and fantastic location so close to restaurants and bars and walking distance to the train station and Teatro La Latina, Plaza Mayor, Mercado, Sol, Atocha. The room was immaculately clean and large and the bathroom was modern.

Nothing.
Unhelpful and rude owner, no window or natural light in room. When I arrived, the owner had already charged the daily rate in my credit card. Very noisy and dirty. Awful and dangerous location. I will not stay there ever again! Lugar malo y peligroso.

The hotel is affordable; the man in charge is cool and hospitable; the room is clean; the water closet is clean, too; there are towels for bathing. The subway is not that far. All in all, it is an advisable hotel.

Hostal La Vera is close to all that was important during our stay ; La Latina district , Laviepes and Santa Ana. It was necessary to be on metro line 1 and Anton Martin was ideal. Great value for money and there is a great selection of shops nearby. We return in September and are considering staying at La Vera again

Owner was nice and tried to help. They had an elevator so you could bring your bags up.
Will not stay here ever again. My room had no windows, toilet or shower. I felt like I was stuffed in a closet. It was really creepy at night. You had no idea what time of day it was or when to wake up in the morning. Also, the room gets super hot & stuffy. The owner brought in a portable a/c, which cooled it down but recirculated the stale air. I did not know my room would have no windows prior to booking, it was not listed. Also, there was one bathroom down a couple of halls that was shared. It was quite inconvenient to take a shower on the other side of the hostel.

Staying in the queen room was great. the bathroom was nicely set up and the single bed was comfortable. 🌟 the decorator added some nice finishing touches that I appreciated.

The hostal is located about 1km nw up the hill from the Renfe train station (atocha). 1 block from the subway and easy 10 min walk downhill to the station to catch the bus to the airport (2€) or the train. If you want to take a bus, take bus 102 to the bus station (3km se from Atocha). ****** the hostal is basic, rooms are very small, mine didn't have a window, although it was very quiet and I got a great sleep for a very long trip. For 25e I feel it was a good value. The old ladie managing the place only speaks Spanish but was helpful.
1 bath for the whole floor.

The staff at the hostel were friendly and provided helpful travel tips. the room was smaller than expected but clean, with a private bathroom. the building has an elevator and is conveniently located near the Anton Martin metro station. Many attractions are within walking distance.
Felt very well, no reason to complain.

Lift, Free wifi
Unhelpful owner, no window or natural light in room, miniscule room that was probably meant to be cupboard, Very noisey, aweful breakfast served 5 minutes walk away in smokey bar, didn't bother on second morning. 1 toilet between many rooms.

Central position. Room quite big. Indipendent access.
Room was not very clean. I had to pay 2 euros to leave a bag in the hostel during the afternoon ! I've been in better places in Madid for the same price.
